Disclosure Statement

Last updated: 1 April 2026

1. About Wealthwatch

Wealthwatch (wealthwatch.co.nz) is operated by Bridge Media Limited, a New Zealand registered company. We provide an independent KiwiSaver comparison platform that helps New Zealanders compare funds and connect with licensed financial advisers.

2. Our Role

Wealthwatch is a comparison and information platform. We are not a financial advice provider, fund manager, or KiwiSaver scheme provider. We do not:

  • Provide personalised financial advice
  • Manage or administer KiwiSaver funds
  • Act as a broker or intermediary for fund transactions
  • Recommend specific funds, providers, or advisers

3. How We Earn Revenue

Transparency about our business model is important to us. Wealthwatch earns revenue through:

  • Adviser subscriptions — Licensed financial advisers pay a monthly subscription fee to be listed on our platform and access our lead marketplace
  • Lead fees — Advisers may pay to receive consumer enquiries submitted through our platform

We do not receive commissions, referral fees, or payments from KiwiSaver fund providers or scheme managers. Our fund comparisons and rankings are not influenced by commercial relationships.

4. How We Present Information

Fund data displayed on Wealthwatch is sourced from publicly available information, including:

  • The Companies Office Disclose Register
  • KiwiSaver scheme provider websites
  • Fund update documents and product disclosure statements
  • Public news sources, forums, and social media (for sentiment data)

Default fund rankings and comparisons are based on objective criteria such as fees, historical returns, and fund type. Users can apply their own filters and weightings using our comparison tools.

5. Use of Artificial Intelligence

Wealthwatch uses artificial intelligence and automated systems to:

  • Collect and structure fund data from public sources
  • Analyse public sentiment about KiwiSaver providers
  • Generate educational content and market commentary

AI-generated content is reviewed for accuracy but may contain errors. Sentiment scores are algorithmic indicators and should not be used as the sole basis for any financial decision.

6. Adviser Listings

Financial advisers listed on Wealthwatch are independent professionals who have registered on our platform. We verify that advisers hold a current registration on the Financial Service Providers Register (FSPR), but we do not:

  • Endorse or recommend any specific adviser
  • Guarantee the quality of advice or services provided
  • Monitor or supervise adviser-client relationships

The order in which advisers appear may be influenced by their subscription tier or featured placement. When you submit an enquiry, your information is shared with the adviser(s) as described in our Privacy Policy.

7. Potential Conflicts of Interest

As advisers pay to be listed on our platform, there is a potential conflict of interest between our commercial relationships with advisers and our role as an independent comparison platform. We manage this by:

  • Keeping fund comparisons and rankings independent of adviser relationships
  • Not accepting payments from fund providers or scheme managers
  • Clearly labelling featured or promoted adviser listings
  • Disclosing our revenue model transparently on this page

8. Regulatory Information

Wealthwatch is not regulated by the Financial Markets Authority (FMA) as a financial advice provider. We operate as a media and technology platform.
