The portfolio is entirely cash and equivalents, split between a BNZ trust account holding nearly 13 percent and a ladder of term deposits and bank bills stretching into 2026. The largest single instrument is a BNZ bank bill maturing in April 2026 at just over 10 percent of the fund, followed by a string of Westpac, ASB and Kiwibank term deposits locked in at rates between 2.85 and 3.57 percent. The structure is straightforward: park money with New Zealand banks, collect the interest, pass most of it on after fees.

Over three years the fund returned 4.1 percent annually and ranked 17th in category. The fee includes a performance component of 0.12 percent, though this sits within the total rather than on top of it. For a cash fund built around bank deposits, the total annual charge stands notably higher than the category norm.
