Over longer stretches, the story shifts. The fund placed 5th over three years with a 9.5% return and 2nd over five years at 4.9% annually. Its equity sleeve leans heavily into US tech: Microsoft, Amazon, Meta and Alphabet all feature in the top ten, alongside local names Fisher & Paykel Healthcare and Infratil. The bond allocation anchors the portfolio with Housing New Zealand paper maturing in 2030 and 2035, while international bonds add 11.27%. A modest 2.87% listed property stake and 6.61% in cash complete the structure. The fund runs a balanced tilt toward growth within the moderate risk band, with tech exposure more concentrated than the category norm.
