Dimensional's sustainability range accounts for more than half of this $74.5 million balanced fund, with the Dimensional Global Sustainability PIE Fund and its hedged counterpart alone making up 35 per cent of the portfolio. SuperLife Ethica sits 10th in its category over one year with a 10.1 per cent return, but climbs to 5th over five years at 6.3 per cent annually.

The fund splits 60 per cent to growth assets and 40 per cent to income. International shares take the largest slice at 40 per cent, followed by New Zealand and international bonds at 16 per cent each. Australasian shares claim just under 14 per cent, with listed property at 6 per cent and cash at 8 per cent rounding out the mix. The Dimensional Global Bond Sustainability Trust handles the international fixed income allocation, while New Zealand government bonds appear individually lower down the holdings list.

Total fees run at 0.70 per cent, built from a 0.68 per cent management charge, 0.02 per cent in other costs, and a 0.10 per cent performance fee. The fund routes its equity exposure almost entirely through Dimensional's sustainability screens, with a small allocation to the iShares MSCI Emerging Markets ESG Screened ETF and a property holding via iShares Core FTSE Global Property.
